Finns judge one by it: soft or sharp, depending on the stones, the stove and how dry the air already is. There are roughly 3.3 million saunas in a country of 5.5 million people, which counts the ones in apartment blocks, offices, and the parliament building. You go in without clothes, you do not talk much, and a surprising amount of Finnish business has been settled in one.
Two-colour linocut in black and wheat, the stones cut one by one.
For anyone who has gone straight from a sauna into a frozen lake and then straight back in.
